Dr. Thompson (Retired)

Retirement Announcement

“It has been a privilege providing your retina care in Maryland during the past 35 years and the trust you have placed in me as your physician. I am pleased your treatment will not be interrupted as we have two outstanding retina specialists joining our practice in the Fall and Winter of 2026. Drs. Alejandra Maiz and Rachana Haliyur will work with Drs. Raymond Sjaarda and David Barañano to provide excellent care for you. I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life. We have owned a condominium in Bonita Springs, Florida for 20 years. I will be joining the Retina Group of Florida at their Bonita Springs office working part-time as a medical retina specialist. I look forward to spending more time with my wife of 43 years, my children and grandchildren."
